YONKERS, N.Y.-- Lifelong resident William "Bill" Valko died Sunday, Dec. 13. He was 82.
Valko graduated from Saunders High School. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for New York Telephone Co. He was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Church in Yonkers.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Valko (nee Lash); his son, Andrew; his daughters, Eileen (Dennis) Barry, Karen and Dianne; his sisters, Dolly Bernacki, Terry (Tom) Kaps and Barbara Valko; and his brothers, Thomas and George.
He was predeceased by his sister Marion Valko.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Church, 75 Ash St., Yonkers, NY 10701.
